Natural Gas and Coal - Leading Energy Source

Natural Gas and Coal are still leading Energy Source although Coal is suffering from tough competition with Natural Gas. Natural gas prices were at hike at the time of Hurricane Katrina, so more power companies were using coal fore power generation purposes. Natural gas is not a global commodity being very difficult to transport at long distances. Because of this, the natural gas prices is much, much lower in North America than other parts of the world.
